Art and horticulture. I am lucky to claim both as profession and passion. The initial inspiration for the artwork always comes from my sensitivity to surroundings and incessant contemplations. Oftentimes plants and flowers appear in the work to articulate my thoughts.

In retrospect, it all makes sense. Years of creating large scale floral arrangements and building gardens taught me more about color, composition and sculpture than what I learned in art school.

First and foremost a painter, I’ve discovered that collaging and layering materials along with paint allows me to create more spontaneously and keeps me from taking myself too seriously.

I prefer to work in series, spending an extended period of time inventing and reinventing a concept or theme. This website highlights some of those categories..
