2020: Resilience or Take That Covid-19! When the pandemic began, I felt a real sense of urgency to make art both as comfort and defiance. Walking among trees, strong and solid and connected to the earth, provided inspiration. Back in the studio I mused over walking the path, seeking the light and being in the woods, hopefully with optimism and humor. Collage/paintings on paper are 18” x 24” of torn paper, paints and ink.

The Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University inspired this series. An exhibition of the work is featured on their website.
